Recovery Reflections is a resource to persons in twelve step recovery programs seeking to improve their conscious contact with God (step 11). Posts are based on Christian scriptures and traditions with reflections or meditations written by an ordained pastor from inside the recovery experience. It is my hope that in sharing my experiences, hope and understanding that others will find it useful in their recovery. Comments are welcomed for that same purpose.
Resources for Congregations and Leaders is information and suggested guidelines for pastors and congregational leaders seeking to be a welcoming community to persons in recover and to provide helpful information for ministry to active addicts and their loved ones.
Recovery Ministry is written from a Christian perspective, mainly because I am an ordained pastor of a Lutheran church in the US. However, you need not be a Christian to gain benefit from these pages or to post your comments. Everyone is welcome to participate and you input is valued. While much of the reflection and mediation material is written in light of the 12 steps and 12 traditions originally published by Alcoholics Anonymous, this site is not in anyway connected to or endorsed by AA or any other 12 step program.
